Elana James’ fiddle has taken her to some varied places.
She’s been in Georgia, the republic, not the state, and Oman, the sultanate, and Armenia. She’s been in big places, including a baseball-stadium tour with Bob Dylan and Willie Nelson.
And she’s been at tiny places — even cowboy campfires — alone and with her Hot Club of Cowtown colleagues. “I saw them in San Francisco, in a little place you’d almost call a dive,” said Patrick Power, who booked them for the Great Lakes Folk Festival. “It was packed and people loved them.”
